The Orono U11 boys completed their highly successful season on a positive note finishing runner up in the State Tournament. The team lost 5-1 in the championship to Lakeville after being ahead 1-0 at the half. The game just didn't go their way in 2nd half when they had opportunities. They played hard though against a very good team, and it was a great experience.
"We had a fun season with a lot of accomplishments, including a 16-2 season and first seed in state. The team also enjoyed a 1st place EP tourney finish in May, lots of skills emphasis at practice, break out plays, strategy, a 4-mile endurance run, beep test, skills circuit challenge, all with a very dedicated group of teammates, friends, and families. Thanks Orono Soccer Club for your support of our team and experience." Allen Overturf, coach
